Answer: Papua is a province located on the northern coast of the Land of Papua, Indonesia.
Papua was established on May 1, 1963.
The province of Papua was previously named Irian Jaya which covers all of the Land of Papua, the former Dutch New Guinea.
Since June 30 2022, the province of Papua has been divided, which forms new provinces, namely, Papua Tengah, Papua Pegunungan, and Papua Selatan.

Answer: I don't know any legend from Papua.

Compared to the area shown in the picture, is the legend in your area similar or different?
Answer: From my area in Semarang, Central Java, there is a legend about the tamarind tree in Indonesia is called "asam".
The origin of the word Semarang itself appeared at the end of the 15th century.
