Patient: Good morning, Doc. There was a lump in my neck, because of this lump my body was very weak and it was difficult to swallow.

Doctor: Okay, the lump is soft like fat or hard?

Patient: Soft, doc, like fat.

Doctor: How long has it been since the lump appeared? Does the lump enlarge over time?

Patient: The lump is not getting bigger, doc. But my body feels very weak.

Doctor: Okay, pretty clear. The lump is likely towards the lipoma, it's filled with fat. Lipomas cause pain because they are in an area with lots of nerves and blood vessels there.

So, if you want to take a lipoma right away, it is usually recommended to refer to a surgeon.

However, it can also be referred to a specialist in Internal Medicine, sub-Hemato Oncology, to rule out the possibility of malignancy.
