3. Orang Kayo Hitam is a famous character in Jambi’s history.
According to several different legends he is accredited with having been Jambi’s first king, although there are many accounts of kings reigning over Jambi prior to him.
This is one legend of how this man, single-handedly, defeated the Mataram Kingdom.
