Apa yang dimaksud dengan noun clause?
Noun clause atau merupakan klausa dependen yang memiliki fungsi sebagai kata benda (noun).
Dalam sebuah kalimat utuh, noun clause ini bisa berfungsi sebagai subjek atau objek, Adjarian.
O iya, noun clause biasanya diawali dengan noun clause marker, seperti what, who, whose, which, if, that, dan lain sebagainya.
Lalu, dilengkapi dengan subjek dan verb.
Contohnya, "What she did is very reckless". Bagian "What she did" adalah noun clause yang berfungsi sebagai subjek, lalu dilengkapi dengan "is" sebagai to be (verb) dan "very reckless" sebagai pelengkap.
Bisa disimpulkan bahwa meskipun sudah terdapat subjek dan kata kerja, tetapi noun clause tidak bisa berdiri sendiri, tetap membutuhkan pelengkap lain dalam satu kalimat.
