Keduanya memang sedikit membingungkan, dikarenakan penggunaannya yang sama-sama digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang telah lampau.
Dalam materi simple past tense, keterangan waktu yang digunakan adalah masa lampau yang spesifik, Adjarian.
Hal tersebut berbeda dengan present perfect tense, yang tidak menggunakan keterangan waktu lampau spesifik dikarenakan bentuknya yang present.

Akan tetapi, present perfect tense masih memungkinkan untuk digunakan menyatakan masa yang sudah lewat dalam periode yang sama, ya.
O iya, rumus dari simple past tense adalah S + V2.
Sedangkan present perfect tense adalah S + have/has + V3.
